‘Colour Is The Sound Of The Soul’

STArt is a visual artist, performer, Reiki practitioner who explores creative emergence through the healing arts, experiential synesthesia and embodied  abstract expressionism.  I enjoy discovering  the quirks, interactions, communications of how we engage with ourselves and the world around us.  Her fascination and adoration of colour, textures, line and form and how light plays with these elements within our natural, spiritual and physical world influences her practise.

STArts’ soul purpose is to encourage empowerment and discovery through healing, play, engagement and hope with a compassionate artivistic voice that inspires an awareness of inclusion not only with how we experience the world but with connection with ourselves and each other.

Her inspiration and process flourishes from alternative perceptions, the natural world, ethereal and spiritual realms, social engagement, symbolism, colour and sensory inter play.  By instinctively merging elements of experiential synesthesia, meditation and play, I translate sounds and vibrations visually through embodied intuitive involuntary movement and expressive abstract painting techniques. My hope is to offer a multi-sensory transcendental immersive and alternative experience that alters conventional perceptions of how we view the world. I invite those to connect, interact and engage with my work through their own unique lens and offering them an interdisciplinary dance of collective conscious and healing experiences.

My process weaves embodied performance, energy work, sculpture painting, chromotherapy and meaningful mark making in a unified composition using paint, pastels, essential oils, sound and movement. This way of working offers stimulation for the senses and allowing space for sanctuary and connection.…where the art and process become unified within their entanglement as one.

Alongside my practise I hold space for collective healing, emotional and creative learning and development projects for children, adults and young people with all abilities. These are facilitated both independently and collaboratively with other creatives, charities, CIC’s (namely Routeways, Space To Move, Printworks, The Wellness Rooms, Creative Curiosities,The Tree Project) and other organisations that inspire creative learning and emotional mental and physical wellbeing that carry same values of creating a beneficial and positive impact on the world and humanity.
